Simplify your life with this compact thread organizer. It holds up to 40 spools within a clear plastic case. Fits most popular spool sizes. Keep your thread clean, organized and tangle-free.
Before I retired I used these huge rubber bands at work. I bought myself a bag of them for myself at an office supply store. Now I use these rubber bands for lots of things and I use one or two to secure these lids. Its no big deal to remove the band, get the spool out that I need the replace the rubber band. It works the same way with those flimsy plastic shoe boxes that are used for miscellaneous junk we save.
Great product! I am going to buy more this week! I love having my thread organized and you can see exactly what you need quickly! I am like another review, the lids come off easy but at least when you open it you don't have thread falling everywhere because you can't get the lid off!
The lid doesn't stay on very good so you can only store flat. Needs a locking lids to keep small children from opening and making a giant mess.
Many of my threads fit perfectly, but some of the taller spools would not fit. I ended up turning them on their side. I can get away with this because I'm a novice sewer and can fit most of my thread in one box, but if you've got an extensive thread collection, you might want to find a larger box. Then again, these boxes are pretty inexpensive, so you could compensate for the lack of space by buying extra boxes.
I have never had my threads so organized before. These boxes hold alot of thread. I have one for each size of spools of thread I have. The only drawback is the lids, they are a little tricky to get on and off but that's OK.
I never thought I could be this organized. I have 1 and on my way to buy 3 more.
I was not organized and never could find the right thread until I bought these boxes. I really don't mind the lid not fitting tightly - makes it easier to access my thread. They are clear and I have less trouble staying organized. I have purchased five and they stack neatly. One is just for quilting thread and the others for sewing thread. They are a better bargain when I find them on sale at JoAnn's!
I read the reviews that said the lid doesn't snap shut, but I honestly though it would at least hold a tiny bit. It doesn't hold at all. Basically, the lid is just rested on top of pegs. What's even the point of having a lid if it's not secure? I attached some velcro on each side which fixed the problem, but I shouldn't have had to go through that trouble. It's good plastic, though, and it holds all different sizes of spools.
