SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

FOR BOTH CARDS:

  • Xyron Design Runner with Starter Design Disc
  • Xyron 510 Creative Station with permanent adhesive
  • Xyron 150 create-a-sticker with permanent adhesive
  • Scissors

CELEBRATE IN STYLE:

  • Green paper, 3-3⁄4"x2"
  • Blue paper, 3-1⁄2"x1-3⁄4"
  • Vellum, 3-1⁄4"x1-1⁄2"
  • White and green dotted cardstock, 5-1⁄2"x4"
  • Bernat Boa yarn, 6", your choice of color
  • 1/2"x6" blue ribbon
  • Blue flower brad

ROSES BIRTHDAY CARD:

  • 1" 'h' chipboard letter
  • Bernat Boa yarn, 8", your choice of color
  • Orange paper, 3-1⁄2"x2"
  • Pink Paper, 4"x2-1⁄2"
  • Beige cardstock, 4"x5-1⁄2"
  • Yellow, orange and pink chalk
  • Foam mounting tape

OPTION: Use the Design Runner to print "roses" and "Happy Birthday" on your envelope and color with chalk.

DIRECTIONS:

CELEBRATE IN STYLE:

  1. Use the Xyron Design Runner to print "Celebrate in style" in continuous mode over the dotted cardstock.
  2. Print "Happy Birthday" on the vellum.
  3. Use the "Butterflies" from the design disk to print all the way across the blue ribbon.
  4. Apply adhesive to the green and blue paper using the Xyron 510.
  5. Center and adhere the green paper then the blue paper on top of card fanning out slightly.
  6. Insert flower brad through the vellum, papers and cardstock.
  7. Apply adhesive to the blue ribbon and the yarn with the Xyron 150.
  8. Adhere the yarn to the bottom of card and the blue ribbon over the yarn.

ROSES BIRTHDAY CARD:

  1. Use the Xyron Design Runner to make a "rose" border on the bottom of the card by using the continuous mode. Print a single rose on orange paper. Print a single rose on the "h".
  2. Print "Happy Birthday" on the orange paper.
  3. Tear the paper toward you all around the orange and pink rectangles, to expose the white edges.
  4. Color all roses with chalk.
  5. Using the Xyron 510, apply adhesive to the "h" and the orange and pink paper.
  6. Adhere the pink paper to the card, then the orange paper and finally the "h" covering the "H" in "Happy Birthday" on the top left side of the card.
  7. Cut out the orange rose.
  8. Apply adhesive to the rose and Boa yarn with the Xyron 150.
  9. Adhere the ribbon on top of the rose border.
  10. Cut and apply a small piece of foam mount under the orange rose and stick to the right side of the card.
