Santa¿s journey begins with just one step. This wonderful holiday scene, stitched on white Aida, is a beautiful mix of full and half cross stitches. Beads and metallic thread add an elegant touch.
I agree with Diana. I also ran out of thread and had to wait for my re-order to come in. Also, the aida cloth should be wider. Stitching too close to the edge. Overall, nice end result!
I have just finished this stocking and it turned out very pretty. The beading adds another dimension to the stocking and it's so beautiful. I have 30% of the thread left, so running out was definitely not an issue. The directions are very clear and the whole experience was very rewarding.
In the last 25 years, I've probably made as many christmas stockings. This is my favorite! It looked absolutely beautiful when completed. It was probably one of the more challenging to complete, which only made it more fun!
Lovely stocking, turned out beautiful, easy to stitch & had lots of thread in all colors left over.
I have counted cross stitched and creweled many stockings, and this is the first one I have been disappointed in. According to the thread separators I had the correct number of strands, but again I have run out of thread and need to reorder. I do not know until I run out of a color that I need to re-order so I get held up waiting, since additional thread cannot be purchased in the local stores.
I could not be more pleased with the product. The kit has everything I needed (except a hoop), instructions were clear, and the thread sorter has the actual color of the fabric which is a great reference. The amount of detail and layering (with metalic threat and beeads) gives the stocking a rich quality. I worked on this for just over 2 months (nights and weekends) to complete it.
