The Dritz 2-part Eyelet Kit - Nickel is sure to provide a professional finish and decorative detail to bags, purses and other craft projects. This kit includes eyelets that sport a nickel finish and hand tools for application. These eyelets come in the perfect size to create laced effects on garments and costumes. They are designed with a plastic insert placed on the post of the eyelet that needs to be added to the wrong side of the fabric for extra stability and support. A washer is placed over the insert and applied with the hand tools and a hammer. You can use the smooth finished eyelets on fabric surfaces.

Eyelets work great on leather crafts.
These eyelets worked great on a pair of Leather Medieval Wrist Bands for my granddaughter. My husband does leather work and she asked him to make her a pair. For the laced up on the sides of the bands, these eyelets can in handy. They helped protect the leather wholes from cutting the leather, making the holes larger.

Super Easy
These were really use to use once I actually read all of the directions. I had better results when I placed them on a few layers of fabric but I used the whole pack and went back for more to finish up some hoods for family members for farm chores in the snow!

Need better closing methods
Don't get me wrong these do get the job done and are high quality metal but the closing mechanism needs some work every time i went to close them with the tool there was so much room for the eyelet to wiggle, so i learned that i need to use the tool then to just use a hammer to close it which caused the eyelet to have dents and scratches.

Good grommets
My favorite grommets. The plastic insert makes sure you don't over-bend the metal if your fabric is thin and, with a little practice, I get nice smooth results on the back everytime
