How To Get It
Dritz Braided Elastic is the most basic elastic. It is lightweight, slightly ribbed and it narrows when stretched. It is most often used on necklines, sleeves, waistbands and swimwear waistbands and leg bands.
  • Lightweight, slightly ribbed and narrows when stretched
  • Use on necklines, sleeves, waistbands and swimwear waistbands and leg bands
  • Machine wash and dry in temperatures up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Insert into casings or stitch directly to wrong side of fabric. Chlorine bleach and salt water safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality. Not for masks (pulls ears) Each person in family I tried this on the elastic pulled ears forward. Not comfortable. Look for softer elastic that is round. For any other use, good quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Irons without melting I have always purchased this specific pkg of elastic because I can iron directly on it with a hot iron and not worry about melting/degradation. It stands up to multiple washings and hot dryer cycles. It’s the only type I’ve found amongst 1/8” elastic that has this quality. Even by the yard by the same manufacturer, and other cheaper pkgs of Dritz elastic will melt when this type didn’t. I prefer it in everything from medical masks to children’s clothing.
