This cleaner did not do so well on my teflon iron, and thought I've could saved it. Stainless steel will be my next pick.
After a year of using my nice new T-Fal iron, I had such a build-up of brown gunk that it was unusable. I tried rubbing alcohol. Didn't help. So I searched the web, and came across a mention of this product. I went to the nearest Jo-Ann's fabric store and got a 1oz. tube for $5. It worked, though I had so much brown gunk to clean off that it took four repititions, plus more on cotton swabs to clean the steam vents. I used most of the tube. Later, when I'm cleaning it more often like I should, I think it would last around 3 - 5 cleanings. Not bad for keeping a $50 iron usable. I'm very glad to have found this product, and I recommend it to anyone with brown gunk on the ironing surface of their iron.
This cleans the soleplate of irons extremely well, leaving them nice and shiny, and doesn't leave a residue. Use it with paper towels or scrap cotton fabric. It's a bit spendy at the regular price, but worth the money, and a tube lasts a long time. Recommend.
This is a terrific product that was very easy to use. I have a Rowenta iron and my daughter is learning to iron and got some "stuff" on it. The Iron-Off was easy to use and cleaned the iron right away. Highly Recommend.
I bought a used iron one without the holes for applique it was in pretty bad shape. Used the iron cleaner and I am happy to say that it is clean. Had to repeat the application several times to get it clean but like I said it was in pretty bad shape. I am ordering more today for my steam iron.
