No where as good as the older version.
I used a previous version of this thimble for years and loved it, but I recently misplaced it. I purchased a new one and it doesn’t work at all. The thimble is too tight to fit completely down on my finger, the stiff leather piece extends too far down on the palm-side of the finger to be able to curl your finger enough to stitch. I have taken scissors to this and cut the leather into pieces and, with adhesive tape, morphed the leather scraps into something that protects my finger. Should have saved the $ and rigged something from scraps at the house.

Perfect Fit for small fingers
The perfect fit for my long, thin fingers (wedding ring is size 4-3/4). It is nice, snug, and so comfortable. Lucked into my first #167 leather thimble many years ago but have been unable to find a much needed replacement. Other leather thimbles were too big, too stiff, and fell off when using. Hope was almost gone until late January 2020 when I stopped by my local Joann store for other craft items. Shocked and surprised to find one lonely thimble hanging from a display peg while surrounded by the larger sizes. Now that I know the actual model # that fits my skinny fingers, I want at least 2 more to have when needed for the future.

Much too tight
This thimble is thick leather with a stretchy fabric. I found it to be way too long. I cut the bottom part off but it was so long it created hand cramps. So I turned it around and wore it with the fabric part facing my work. It was just so tight when I wore it, it made my finger cold (cutting off the circulation), and I could not actually move my finger at the joint.

I cannot get this On my finger due to excess stretchy fabric in inside. Leather is way too thick. Really sloppy!

There is no size. I have small hands and fingers but when I put it on it was so tight I could not wear it.

Dritz Leather Thimble
I own one of these thimbles, have had it at least seven, maybe eight years. I love it, have always loved it. Doesn't matter what you are doing, hemming, sewing on buttons, quilting, it's great. The sides are open for air circulation so your finger doesn't sweat, and the elastic keeps it snug, but not tight on your finger. I love mine and I think anyone that sews a lot would love one too.
