Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great help! I love these scissors! I too have hands with 40 years of rheumatoid arthritis, but they work for me. It was a bit difficult learning to push the button in while pulling the trigger with the same hand; eventually it became a natural movement. I push against the side of my hand while pulling the trigger. I have purchased an additional pair as I heard they might be discontinued. I have absolutely no problem with the charge and I use them often. I only charge every day or so. I had the gray ones that charge on an inclined gray base for a while, but I eventually discarded as they lost their charge and eventually would never charge back to the full charge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Electric Scissors I bought these scissors because I have arthritis in both hands and cutting out pattern pieces is a strain using manual scissors. Since I enjoy sewing I bought these to replace other electric scissors that I owned. While they fit comfortable in your hand, even when using 2 hands I had difficulty cutting out pattern pieces. If you are buying electric scissors to alleviate pain or strain in your hands you will be better off with another product. Those with no physical problems may get plenty of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simplicity Electric Scissors I love these electric scissors. After charging, they work for hours. They are great and hold a charge for a long time. I can cut through thick material. Very pleased with the scissors. I did look a 50% off sale .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Fabulous ! Bought my electric scissors to cut nylon net fabric. This formerly tedious job is now a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for arthritic hands I bought a pair of these and got them a week ago. I love them! No more sore fingers. No more giving up on a project because of the amount of cutting required.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Listen to the poor reviews As so many others have said, this does not hold a charge well (and the AC adapter cord is too short to make it practical to use as a corded tool), it cuts poorly on light materials (fabric), and it takes two hands to use, making it useless for people with arthritis or smaller hands. My wife and I make a lot of tied fleece blankets and the rotary cutter and mat has its own problems, so we got these and found out all the naysayers were correct. Right now we're using a pair of FORTY YEAR OLD electric scissors that work great! This is an example of people being protected from things they don't need to be protected from. There's really NO reason to have a safety catch on a pair of electric scissors! If you can cut yourself with these you should be on the news! If they were cheaper I might go to the trouble of bypassing the safety lock, but with the other problems it's just not worth it. I just hope our electric scissors last another 40 years since there's nothing to replace them with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not easy to use! I bought these scissors after my other favorite electric scissors went out. I thought for the price they would be great, however, after getting them home and using them, I returned them the next day. You have to hold the safety switch while operating. This is so annoying and hard to use. I would not recommend these to anyone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Goood for some things i am a fashion design student (as an adult) and purchased these because ii have arthritis in my hands. they have good and bad points. FOR MY NEEDS these were great. (see detailed review) BAD: if your hands shake, even a little, you end up with a really ragged cut unless you are gliding the scissors across the table. when i lifted my hand even slightly i ended up with a very ragged cut from moving slightly side to side. they are heavy. while luckily i can slide these along a table , if you have to hold these up for any length of time its going to be tiring. they are quite heavy MEH: they move fast, which can be a problem for detailed cutting. that depennds on yoru hands i think. i only use them for heavy cutting or straight lines . GOOD: they cut like a dream. i am cutting muslin, oaktag (like a very heavy manilla file folder) and pattern paper and these go through it without any strain at all. i have used them to cut oaktag for patterns, muslin for trial garments, and so on just cutting oaktag usually hurts my hands badly and i have fellow students borrowing these to cut oaktag all the time NOTE: i havent run into any problem with the battery, but i am using them for no more than about 10-15 minutes at a time
