Paper Mache Tombstone

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Paper mache tombstone
  • Paints: gray concrete, light gray acrylic, light & dark green moss
  • 1" paintbrush

DIRECTIONS:

    Note: Two coats of paint may be needed. Allow paint to dry thoroughly between each coat and color.
  1. Paint outside of tomb stone with gray concrete paint.
  2. Paint the inside with light gray acrylic.
  3. Use the light and dark moss paint as desired.
  4. Add lettering as desired.

Spooky Standing Tree

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Spooky Tree
  • Paints: brown & black acrylic, light & dark green moss
  • 1" paintbrush
  • Spider webbing (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

    Note: Two coats of paint may be needed. Allow paint to dry thoroughly between each coat and color.
  1. Paint the inside of eyes and mouth black.
  2. Paint the tree brown.
  3. Use the light and dark moss paint as desired.
  4. Put on optional spider webbing as desired.

Painted Styrofoam® Frankenstein Head

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Styrofoam® Frankenstein head
  • Paints: green, light green, dark green, yellow, black, white, silver
  • 3/4" paintbrush
  • Small detailing brush
  • Paint dish palette for mixing paint
  • Water

DIRECTIONS:

    Note: Two coats of paint may be needed. Allow paint to dry thoroughly between each coat and color.
  1. Paint face green, while the paint is still wet, using a small detail brush and blend a small amount of light and dark green onto cheeks, nose and chin to highlight.
  2. Use black to paint on “stitches” and inside nostrils.
  3. Paint hair and eyebrows black.
  4. Paint eyes black with white highlight.
  5. Paint the bolts on neck silver.
  6. Refer to photo and continue shading as desired.

Painted Styrofoam Skull

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Styrofoam® skull
  • Paints: white, ivory, linen, light brown & black
  • Sponge dauber
  • Natural sponge
  • Small detailing brush
  • Medium round brush

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Allow paints to dry thoroughly
  2. Use a round brush to paint the inside sockets of the eyes and nose black.
  3. Use natural sponge to daub on white, ivory and linen paint on all over the skull for a natural bone effect.
  4. Use the detailing brush and white and light brown to paint highlights onto skull.
  5. Use the small detail brush and white to paint teeth, then use black to darken around spaces between the teeth as desired.
