  2. Follow manufacturer’s directions and spray adhesive to WS of fabric for box.
  3. Beginning at one corner, center the box on fabric with 1 ½” at the top and bottom; press fabric all around box, smoothing out any wrinkles as you go; fold over ½” at the end and glue in place.
  4. Fold and press fabric down to inside of box, glue as necessary.
  5. Fold and press fabric down to bottom of box, glue as necessary.
  6. If desired, cut a piece of fabric to cover bottom of box.
  7. Cut fabric for box lid big enough to wrap fabric to inside of lid.
  8. Follow manufacturer’s directions and spray adhesive to WS of fabric for lid.
  9. Press and smooth fabric to lid; fold edges to inside, glue as necessary
  10. Cut strips of fabric for ribbons to desired size and wrap around boxes.
  11. Glue flowers in place.

Flower Directions:

  1. Flower #1
  2. Cut 2 strips of shear fabric 2 1/2” x WOF.
  3. Fold in half, then fold in half again. Repeat folding in half until about 2” wide.
  4. Round off corners of one end with scissors.
  5. Unfold strip. (One edge is straight, the other is scalloped. Scallops do not need to be even)
  6. Repeat with second strip.
  7. Light candle.
  8. Holding scalloped edge of fabric close to but not touching flame, carefully singe edges of scallops.
  9. Begin center of flower by rolling the first scallop into a “bud”. Secure with hot glue (recommended) or tacky glue.
  10. Continue building flower around bud by pleating and gluing to center until desired size.
  1. Flower #2
  2. For flower petals, cut several 3” circles.
  3. With WS together; fold circles in half and sew a gathering stitch along curved edge; pull tight to gather.
  4. Repeat with remaining circles.
  5. To make the bottom layer of the flower, stitch together petals in a circle to desired size.
  6. Repeat for other layers using fewer petals for each circle.
  7. Glue circles onto bottom layer from large to small, alternating petals.
  1. Flower #3
  2. Cut 2 strips of lace 2” x WOF
  3. Sew a gathering stitch along one long edge; pull tight to gather.
