  • 1/4 yd silky apparel print (bright)
  • 1/4 yd silky apparel print (black & white)
  • One 36" silver oval chain necklace
  • One 1-3/4" crystal button
  • One 3" fabric rose
  • Two 1-1/2" fabric rosettes
  • One pkg. Cousin® jewelry basics pearls
  • Thread & needle
  • Small pliers
  • Scissors


1. Remove 4" of chain links (32" long).
2. Cut one pc. black and white print 2-1/2"x45".
3. With right sides together, seam lengthwise 1/4" seam.
4. Turn and tuck in ends.
5. Stitch one end to link next to clasp and then weave every other link finishing by stitching same as beginning.
6. Cut one pc of bright fabric 7"x48".
7. Seam in same manner.
8. Turn and press, turning in ends.
9. Begin 4" from one end, stop 10" from other end. Stitch to bottom edge of necklace, gathering to fit.
10. Cut one piece of black and white fabric 4"x30" and seam in the same manner.
11. Start about 2" above ruffle on 10" side and stitch to inside edge of necklace, ruffling for about 6".
12. Drop ruffle behind necklace and continue by stitching to bottom of bright ruffle for about 20" along bottom.
13. Add loops of pearls, roses, crystal button for embellishment.
