Fabric Roller Shade Kit is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Kit but proceed with CAUTION! Read both sets of directions before you start and continue to read them together with each step. The MOST important part of a successful finished product is fixing the brackets to your window frame and cutting the roller the correct size. DO THIS FIRST! Make sure you leave enough room at the top for your rolled up fabric. Then, measure your fabric to the size of the roller NOT the width of your window. I had to steam open my shade to lessen the width and re-fuse it - messy. Another important step (per the instructions) is to cut your fabric on the grain to ensure your shade rolls up and down easily. You will need to purchase a pull bar for the bottom of your shade and my kit didn't come with any screws for the brackets. Good Luck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, easy to make! Just what I needed in the laundry room window. I added a valance above the shade to hide the shade hardware. My fabric was too transparent to fold back on the sides. Dritz Fray Check on the cut edges of the fabric will protect it; the previous one lasted 16 years! Note: directions are inside the roller. I used a stick-on hook with Velcro to hold the pull cord taut. I put a plastic bar inside the hem in case some pulls the bottom of the shade instead of using the cord.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from package open, no instructions The package I received was open and maybe that is why there were no instructions, but I have noticed other reviewers had the same complaint. Luckily, this was not my first rodeo, and I was able to figure out how to mount the shade with the included hardware. I found instructions for the fusing online, but it was really just like any other fusible. All of that said, it worked like it should and the shade looks beautiful. Just please pay attention to the type of fabric that will work with this and you should be fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 7 years in use & still like new! I purchased this for shade in my bathroom 7 years ago. I close it every night so it's gotten lots of use- and it still works like new. Was a great investment- highly recommend. Was easy to make & install. I didn't need it so long, so cut shade fabric shorter & attached to roller with tape. Hint- If shade becomes too loose to roll up- just remove from brackets & roll up tight & re-install- good as new! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from make shade any length I have used two of these kits, both times inserting the ends into a 1 1/4 inch PVC pipe 78 inches long. I did have to insert a long 1/1 dowel into the tube to keep the PVC from sagging in the center. Used Duct tape to fasten the fabric to the PVC--you do need two people to do this straight. Beautiful results and both have been up/down everyday for 5 years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Will use again I really like the way the shades turned out...really beautiful. I used shantung fabric and made a scalloped edge. The only real trouble I had was during the fusing process. This took a good amount of time but I finally got them fully fused. The next time I will have them fused at the dry cleaners. The instructions for the hardware wasn't included with the shades...I found that information on the internet.

Rated 0 out of 5 by from I must be inept This thing was trouble from the word go. There were vague instructions that said nothing about how to mount the shade. "Fusing" was a bumpy nightmare. I have done his process with a different brand, which I could not find and it came out great. But this was a total disaster. We went ahead and drilled million holes to mount it, so now it s up, but I would not reccommend this, unless you are ready to use your sewing machine, as I had to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought a make your own roller shade kit and am really happy with the result. It took some time, but looks great. This was a no sew kit. I did need to add a lining as my fabric design was bold. I would make another one without hesitation.
