SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 4 yds home decor outdoor fabric (A)
• 2yds home decor outdoor fabric: (B)
• Three 22"x4" NU-Foam® cushions
• 2 bags polyester stuffing
• 2 yds hook-&-loop tape
• Basic sewing supplies
• Sewing machine
• Iron, pressing surface

DIRECTIONS: 1/2" seam allowance. RS = Right sides

CUTTING: Fabric A: Six 23 1/4" squares for cushions; three 21 1/2"x7 1/2" rectangles for hinges
Fabric B: Twelve 5"x23 1/4" rectangles (sides of cushions)
Hook-&-loop tape: Three 20" lengths
Pillow fabric A or B: 28 1/4"x23 1/4" rectangle, two 8 1/2" diameter circles

HINGES: RS together, fold Fabric A rectangles in half lengthwise. Stitch along each short edge. Turn to the RS & press. Baste raw edges together. Center & stitch 20" of hook side of hook-&-loop tape to hinge. Set aside. On 2 Fabric B side pieces, center & stitch a 20" of loop side of hook-&-loop tape.

CENTER CUSHION SECTION: RS together, stitch 4 sides. Alternate sides with hook tape along short edges. Start & stop stitching 1/2" from edge. Stitch sides unit to one 23 1/4" square. Repeat for bottom square; leave opening for turning & inserting cushion. Trim corner seam allowances. Turn, insert cushion. Whip-stitch opening closed.

END CUSHION SECTION: Stitch side pieces together, omitting reference to hook tape. With raw edges even, baste 1 hinge to a side piece, with loop side facing away. With hinge at top, stitch 23 1/4" square to sides unit for the top of the cushion. Complete cushion as above.

HEAD CUSHION SECTION: Stitch side pieces together. Baste 1 hinge to side piece with loop side facing side piece for top of cushion. Baste 2nd hinge to bottom of opposite side with loop side facing away to be bottom of cushion. Stitch to complete the cushion.

BOLSTER PILLOW: Stay-stitch all pieces. Stitch remaining hook side of tape 1" along one 23 1/4" edge of rectangle. RS together, stitch short edges of rectangle, leaving opening for stuffing & turning. Stitch circles to each end of rectangle loop, while easing & clipping. Turn, stuff & stitch closed. Cover hook side of fastener tape with masking tape to prevent stuffing from catching on the hooks.

ASSEMBLY: Attach hinges to center cushion. Bolster pillow will attach to end of cushions. Hinge should be on top of cushion. Cushions should flip & fold into themselves for storage.
