Not for the long haul
I went through 4 of these last holiday while creating a display for my dept 56 north pole collection. You have to let the the wire do the work, no forcing. What I found with each one is that after a while the handle would heat up and melt where the wire meets the handle. Each one did this so it was not isolated. I do like this tool design, would really like a professional option with wood handle. I recommend to turn it off after 20-30 min to cool it down, remember it heats up in about 30 seconds.
Cuts styrofoam like butter
This works great. You do need to be patient and guide more than force. Yes, I forced too hard and broke my first one. Slow and gentle produces fantastic results!
