SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Caron Simply Soft Party: Purple Sparkle, Fuchsia Sparkle, Teal Sparkle (1 ball each)
  • Aluminum crochet hook, size H8
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Tape measure

DIRECTIONS:

MEASUREMENTS
Finished Measurement: Flower cluster measures approximately 2-1/2"x3"

1. FLOWER 1

2. With B, ch 5; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
3. Round 1: Ch 1, work 9 sc in ring; join with sl st in first sc—9 sc.
4. Round 2: Ch 5, working in front loops only, sl st in next sc, *ch 5, sl st in next sc; repeat from * around; join with sl st in sc at base of beginning ch-5—9 ch-5 loops. Fasten off B.
5. Round 3: Working in unworked back loops of Round 1, join A with sl st in free back loop of any sc, ch 6, sl st in same sc, ch 6, *(sl st, ch 6, sl st) in next sc, ch 6; repeat from * around; join with sl st in same sc as first sl st—18 ch-6 loops. Fasten off A.
6. FLOWER 2
7. With C, ch 5; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
8. Round 1: Ch 1, work 10 sc in ring; join with sl st in first sc—10 sc.
9. Round 2: Ch 8, working in front loops only, sl st in next sc, *ch 8, sl st in next sc. repeat from * around; join with sl st in sc at base of beginning ch-8—10 ch-8 loops. Fasten off C.
10. Center: With B, make an adjustable ring; [sc in ring, ch 7] 5 times; join with sl st in first sc—5 ch-7 loops. Pull gently but firmly on beginning tail to close ring. Sew to center of Flower 2.
11. FLOWER 3
12. With B, work same as Flower 2, Rounds 1 and 2 (do not make a center)—10 ch-8 loops. Fasten off.
13. FINISHING
14. Arrange flowers, close together, in a cluster. Sew flowers together to form cluster.
15. Headband Assembly: With A, leaving a 12" tail for tying, ch 48 (for first part of headband); sl st to back of one side of cluster, ch 4 or 5 (to extend across back of cluster), sl st to back of other side of cluster; ch 28 (for 2nd part of headband). Fasten off leaving a 12" tail for tying. Using yarn needle, weave in all ends. To wear, use 12" tails to tie ends of headband together.
