Although this seam ripper is very sharp and works well I would not recommend it because the tip of it breaks easily. I have had two of them and they both broke. ):
This tool is great to hold and use...BUT it has two major flaws that make it frustrating to use. The lid will not stay on (I threw it away), and the handle is round, with no flats to keep it from rolling off the table. I would not recommend this product.
Cover don't stay on and handle to large.
This broke on me in a short period of time. The sharp tip broke off about the level of the red bulb. I emailed them, they never answered. I posted how disapointed I was and they emailed saying they were short handed and would contact the manufacturer. That was the last I heard from them. I would NOT recommend this product and I'm extremely dissapointed in their POOR or LACK OF customer service.
I was delaying sewing projects because I could not stand the pain in my hands that resulted from a few minutes of seam ripping. Somebody gave this to me as a gift and it is fantastic. I have tried every ergonomic craft tool out there, and this is one of the best.
I own 2 of these already and am seriously thinking about buying another while on sale, it's that good! I don't know if this is on the package or not, but the rounded end can be rubbed against the broken stitches and those pesky little threads are easily removed. Jean
coming back to buy another
I purchased one of these about a year ago because of trouble with carpal tunnel and it was one of the best buys ever. It is great to have something that is easier on my hands and easier to hold. Thanks Fons & Porter. I'm getting 2 more so I have them everywhere.
