Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful detailed personalized stocking Took a lot longer than anticipated, well worth the results. Beautiful detailed design, easy to follow directions. Perfect as a gift. Basic sewing knowledge required to build stocking. Back half of stocking is a simple red felt, switched it out with a sturdier fabric. Personally, I recommend adding fusible interfacing to the back of the stitched product to protect the stitches from wear/use over time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful detailed stocking This is my seventh cross stitch stocking and is nearly done. The detailing is wonderful, the outlining makes the design really come to life. It has taken several months and is worth it. The kit is improved over some of the earlier ones; the design guide is larger, printed on three pages instead of two, and there are fewer light green symbols - both making it easier on the eyes when working in artificial light. I will line the stocking with cotton and back it with velvet rather than the included felt. The aida is a little narrow which makes it harder to keep material tight in the hoop when working near the edges, but it has worked out, and I will have plenty of thread left.
