Broke before fitting
Wanted a beautiful piece for front of costume. It broke before I even tried it on. It had no strain on it. DO NOT BUY!

Not durable
We bought 6 of these for the closures on a dublet but after a couple wearings the hook side began to break. As all six were hand sewed, we were not happy about having to replace them.

used for Chinese style blouse
I bought several of these closures to use for a Chinese style blouse i made. i was so happy with the way it came out. these closures worked perfectly with it. they really tied the whole style together, concealed the stitching for the hidden snaps perfectly, and held the garment closed. I even got compliments from several Chinese people when i wore it out to dinner. I would highly recommend these. the only thing i didn't like was the price (per package). I didn't have a coupon at the time, and there wasn't a sale.

Poor quality. Poor performance. Do not recommend.
I bought 5 to close the front of a costume. They had no strain on them, as the costume was fitted not to constrain the wearer, and the clasps were meant just to keep the front from "flapping." Two broke during the first wearing. Two broke during the first laundering. The fifth broke as I removed it to replace it with an alternative closure. Either I got a bad run, or these just aren't as sturdy as "advertised." They definitely wouldn't hold up to the beating a handbag would take. Would not recommend.
