replacement slats
while moving to our new home, three of the plastic slats that hold the spools of thread were broken. I was wondering if there is a place to purchase replacement slats?
Not a great investment
The spools don't last as long as those singly purchased which leads me to believe they are sample size spools but don't tell you that. Also the threads have a lot of lint which means they are not a quality thread and make a mess of your machine including the bobbin area (makes for more cleaning). Invest in long staple egyptian cotton thread rather than Gutermann.

This is one of the best things I purchased this year. I am a threadaholic and from all the threads I have been working with I prefer this one. Works well with all kinds of fabrics. Love that you can store 3 spools from the same color and love to look at it, it inspires me.
Outstanding selection & organized collection
I love this collection of thread. No matter what sewing project I plan, I know I have the color I will need. Always a perfect match. Each color is organized and easy to find. I love to look at the display cabinet and the pretty colors. The thread is good quality and works great.

I have had my thread cabinet for over 2 years now, and I love it. I do alot of applique, so it's great to have (almost) every colour that I need. The cabinet itself is quite heavy, so I bought 2 plastic thread holders which makes it more portable. I replace any colour if I run out. All in all, I'm very pleased.
Don't bother! Thread bleeds!
I purchased this supposedly handy and beautiful display case and thread last Christmas. I wanted to have a variety of colors at my disposal. I have used the thread periodically and soon found to my dismay that the red colors all bleed and leave stains on my machines. Then when I sew on white fabric the stains come off onto the white thread and leave a pinkish tinge on my seam.
Beautiful Wall Cabinet
Husband surprised me with this 1st year available. Yes, other reviews say this is too heavy to carry around and it really is better wall mounted. It is a C-A-B-I-N-E-T. Easy to mount on the wall using a hardware store screw-in U shaped 3-3/4" Tool Storage Hook (Stanley #819280). Pre-drill smaller hole, making sure to hit a stud. Hang cabinet by placing it's HANDLE over the hook. Level by slightly screwing U bracket in or out. Most "ah's!" I hear about my sewing room are directed at this item. I love always having the color I need & that it holds up to 3 spools per slot.
