Description

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Lion Brand® Hometown USA™ Yarn 1 skein each:
    Pittsburgh Yellow (A), Dallas Grey (B), Honolulu Pink (C), Los Angeles Tan (D)
  • Crochet hook size P-15 or size to obtain gauge
  • Large-eyed blunt needle
Regular instruction lists begin with 'Directions' in bold, 'Notes' are italicized and each line is double spaced by 2
tags.

DIRECTIONS: To change color, work last st of old color to last yo; yo with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st.

HAT: With A, ch 33.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch, *sc in next ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across, end with a dc in last ch – 32 sts.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; rep from * across, change to B in last st. Cut color not in use.
Rep Row 2, changing color following Stripe Sequence, until piece measures 9" from beginning.
Fasten off; leave long tail. Draw tail through rem sts; pull to gather sts together. Fasten off. Use rem tail to seam sides.
Finished hat circumference 19". Hat will stretch to fit a wide range of sizes.

SCARF: With A, ch 11.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch, *sc in next ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across – 10 sts.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; rep from * across; change to B in last st.
Rep Row 2, following Stripe Sequence, until piece measures 50" from beginning. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Finished scarf 6"x50"
