Finished Circumference
About 24'
Finished Height About 13-1/2'

21 sts and 19 rows = about 4' over pattern stitch.
Be sure to check your gauge.
When matching the gauge in a pattern, the project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes fewer stitches and rows to make a 4' square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Note: Cowl is knit flat then seamed to form a tube.

Cast on 74 sts.
Row 1 and all WS Rows: K1, p to last st, k1.

Matching cast on end to bind off end, seam Cowl to form tube.
Weave in ends.

beg = beginning
k = knit
p = purl
rep = repeat(s)(ing)
sl = slip
st(s) = stitch(es)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from heartland cowl scarf It is very easy and knits up quick. Row eight put k1 at beginning of row. If you want t cabling this would be a God one to try.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great looking cowl, pattern needs a fix Row 8 is missing stitches. If you add it up , it only goes up to 72, when it should go to 74. I went ahead and checked the Lion Brand website and it looks like the mistake was corrected on their site. Here is the correction for Row 8: K1, *k6, sl next 3 sts to cable needle and hold in back of work, k3, k3 from cable needle; rep from* to last st, k1. Aside from that, it's an easy pattern although to save wordiness, they could have said C6B and C6F instead. Now that the mistake has been fixed, I look forward to tinking and starting all over again (somewhat sarcastic).
