How To Get It
The Dritz 1.5'' Heavy Stretch Waistband Elastic White is a stiff and super strong stretch elastic. This pack contains heavy stretch waistband elastic which is 1.5 inches wide and is perfect for making cuff bands, waistbands and jacket waistbands. It is ideal for use with heavier fabrics. Simply insert it into casings or stitch directly on the wrong side of fabrics for best results. Machine washable and dryable, this white elastic is also chlorine bleach-safe.

This elastic is great!
I bought this elastic to complete a gingerbread dress for my granddaughter to wear on dress like a gingerbread boy/girl at school. It was part of the waistband but had to be a little stretchy to go over her head. This elastic was great! Just what I needed for the stretch but also held up the waistband insert! She was a little doll! Lots of ooo’s and ahhhh’s!

Great for shorts
I really liked how well this worked for my pajama shorts. It is perfect for a waistband and was easy to feed through the short waist. It holds up super nice and you can tell it is going to last a long time.

Very good elastic
Good elastic! I made a pair of knit leggings and used this elastic. The waist doesn't roll and after a couple of washings th elastic hasn't shrunk. Those are my markers for good elastic and this elastic passed with flying colors.

Versatile elastic
I bought this without ever working with elastic before. After ordering a second elastic with another brand, I realized this was not the softest fabric. The stiffness could come in handy, depending on the project, but I found it harder to work with than the softer elastic.
