4 years of use. Still works fine.
I've used this fairly regularly for about 4 years mostly embossing and have never had a problem with it. It still looks like new with no discoloration or signs of wear. It still heats evenly. I'd give it 5 stars but for the fact that there are better craft heat guns available that heat a bit hotter and faster although they do cost about twice what I paid for this unit. This is, in my opinion, the prettiest heat gun though, and it makes me happy to use it...not that looks matter much to me or most people.

Horrible, started smoking and smelled like burning plastic, I had to open all the windows in my studio to get the toxic burning plastic smell out.

Just like the other reviewers have stated, the casing melted on my product as well. It also tended to overheat quite easily and stop working for a while.

As the other reviewer said, the casing on my heat tool melted as well. Had plans to work on some bible pages today, but can't because I'm unable to prep the pages. Very disappointing.

I want so excited to get started on a new project and brought this home and started working on the project... 5 minutes into the project I noticed the casing around the metal nozzle had began to melt. Very poor quality.
