Purchasing a yard of this fabric based on the online photo was misleading--there is no ruler on the photo swatch to represent scale. These birds are huge! I'm making a tote bag, expecting to have several birds on each side of the bag, but I will be very lucky to have one pair on each side. The quality of the fabric is excellent, but I wish the scale of the print was more clearly depicted.
I purchased this fabric for curtains in my purple bedroom. It handles great and is relatively easy to sew. I love it so much I want to make another set in the blue for my living room!
I made curtains with this material and they turned out awwwesssomme! They are beautiful in my new room! I will definately have to get more for pillows!!!..
Beautiful fabric! I bought this and made pillows for my living room sofa. I am really thinking about making curtains as well.
I am completely obsessed with this fabric. I too purchased it for a valance in my sewing room. I purchased enough to cover my sewing chair and to also cover the doors of my craft cupboard. I couldn't wait 1 week for it to go 50% off so I used a 40% off coupon. I have since returned and purchased 7 more yards as I keep coming up with other projects for it. I see lots of pillows, another chair, etc in the future. I will be moving in a couple of years and I was afraid I would need more of this for my new sewing room. I think I have plenty now!!!
I purchased this adorable fabric to make curtains for my living and dining rooms. It's just a little bit funky, but not weird, it's perfect. It was love at first sight.
I went into Joann Fabrics to search for a "special" fabric to make draperies for my sewing room. I was looking for orange poppies, and was feeling sad that I couldn't find them. Just as I was about to give up, the little amethyst and gold birds seemed to fly right into my arms. They were so fun and whimsical. I had to have this fabric to make my draperies! The fabric is not too heavy, but quality and with a lining will make my sewing room rock!
