Rated 1 out of 5 by from It Doesn't Cost Much For a Reason! I have wonderful oak frames to stitch on when I'm home but thought this frame would be great for small on the go projects and really I liked the way the fabric was held in place. That's as far as I can go....the two side pieces are so poorly made that when the rollers are inserted, the result is not flat! Opposing corners twist up in opposite directions and there is no way to adjust them since this is simply a poor quality milling job---the holes don't match up evenly. I wouldn't care about sanding off all the splinters and rough spots if I could have a flat space to stich! As I said, Cheap for a Reason!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from do not waste your money There are many reasons why they sell this frame for so cheap a price, number one among them is that they use the cheapest, flimsiest wood. I thought I was going to break the rods the first time I tried to insert the fabric. Then, the roughness. My fabric feels like it has a hundred splinters. Take my advice and look for a frame that is better quality, even if it is more expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SQUARE FRAMES... I HAVE THE 15IN, AND THE 18IN SQUARE FRAMES. YES THE SCREWS ARE A PAIN IN THE BUTT. THEY DO NOT GET TIGHT ENOUGH. BUT I FOUNF A WAY TO TACK IT TO THE LONG RAILS THAT HOLD THE MATERIAL---PACKING TAPE!!!! IT WILL HOLD IT ON FOR YOU....1ST PIECE IS HALF ON THE FRAME, HALF ON THE MATERIAL AFTER YOU HAVE INSERTED IT INTO THE FRAME BOTH TOP AND BOTTOM. PUT ON THE SIDE BARS. NEXT, ROLL THE MATERIAL TILL IT'S TIGHT ENOUGH FOR YOU AND THEN TIGHTEN THE SCREWS ALL THE WAY (AS MUCH AS POSSABLE), THEN PLACE TAPE ALONG THE TOP AND BOTTOM TO PROTECT THE MATERIAL FROM OILS FROM YOUR HANDS. I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO BE BUYING THE 24IN TOMMROW, FOR I HAVE A COUPLE OF LARGE PIECES TO DO. AS I AM ALWAYS CROSS STITCHING, I LOVE THESE FRAMES.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Pain I returned this frame after trying unsuccessfully to make it work. I have been using plastic snap frames on my cross stitch projects but have had to move them around so I wanted something that would stay stationary...sadly this is not the product for me. A total pain and would not stay tight.

Rated 0 out of 5 by from Disgusted I too have had difficulty with this frame. It does not say tight, and screws won't tighten enough. We even went and bought new screws and bolts for it and still comes loose. I miss the frame that you could baste your needlework on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Maybe I'm Wrong But... I love these frames, yes some of them are a bit rough (sandpaper anyone), but I have been using these frames for about 15 years after I updated from hoops to frames and floor stands. Yes, after extended stitching you will have to retighten but on a whole, these frames are great, I have several sizes and am here today to buy another.

Rated 0 out of 5 by from Very unhappy This is a HORRIBLE frame. I will be returning it. I struggled with it for a long time trying to get the fabric on this. Then I couldn't get it to tighten, and once I did get it tight, it would loosen each time I worked with my project. It's worthless and a waste of money.
