Outer edging: With RS facing, join A with sl st at outer edge of Hood at seam. Ch 1. Work sc evenly down Hood to left front neck edge to marker, across neck edge, 3 sc in corner, down left front edge, 3 sc in corner, across lower edge, 3 sc in corner, up right front edge, 3 sc in corner, across neck edge to marker and up Hood to seam. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Buttonholes: Place markers for 4 buttonholes on right front for Her or left front for Him 3 hdc in from outer edge, having top buttonhole ¾” below neck edge, bottom buttonhole 2” above lower edge and rem 2 buttonholes spaced evenly between.

Spread hdc open at buttonhole markers (between 3rd and 4th hdc from edge). Thread length of MC onto tapestry needle and stitch around opening to create buttonhole.

Sew on buttons to correspond to buttonholes.

Twisted Cord: Cut 2 strands each of MC and A 24” long. With all 4 strands tog, hold one end and with someone holding other end, twist strands to the right until they begin to curl. Fold the 2 ends tog and tie in a knot so they will not unravel. The strands will now twist themselves tog.

Pompom: Wind A around 4 fingers approx 50 times. Remove from fingers and tie tightly in center. Cut through each side of loops. Trim to a smooth round shape. Sew Pom-pom to end of cord. Sew opposite end to point of Hood as shown in picture. Finished cord will be approx 3” long.
