SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Caron® Simply Soft™, 1 ball each: Robin's Egg or Fuchsia or Chartreuse (A), Charcoal Heather (B), White (C)
- 1 ball Size U.S. F/5 [3.75 mm] crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
- Stuffing
MEASUREMENTS:
Approx 12" wide x 16" tall
GAUGE:
15 hdc and 12 rows = 4".
DIRECTIONS:
Note: Ch 2 at beg of row does not count as hdc. To change colors, work to last loops on hook of first color. Draw new color through last loops and proceed.Front and Back [make alike] With A, ch 47.
Row 1: [RS]. 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook.1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 45 hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2 [does not count as hdc]. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn. Rep last row until work from beg measures 10", ending on a WS row, join B.
Shape top:
Row 1: With B, ch 2. Hdc2tog. 1 hdc in each hdc to last 2 hdc. Hdc2tog. Turn. 43 hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2. Hdc2tog. 1 hdc in each hdc to last 2 sts. Hdc2tog. Turn. Rep last row to 7 sts. Fasten off.
Door
Note: Door is worked sideways. With B, ch 26.
Row 1: [RS]. 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 24 hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn. Rep last row until piece from beg measures 4".
Fasten off.
Doorknob
With C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Sew Doorknob to Door. Sew Door to Front.
Window
With C, ch 14.
Row 1: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 12 hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn. Rep last row until piece measures 3". Do not turn.
Rnd 1: Ch 1. Work 1 rnd of sc evenly around Window, having 3 sc in each corner. Join B with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2: With B, ch 1. Sl st in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sl st. Fasten off.
Window Panes [make 2]
With B, ch 15. Fasten off. Sew chains to Window as shown in picture to create Panes. Sew Window to Front. Gusset With A, ch 12.
Row 1: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 10 hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn. Rep last row until Gusset measures length to fit around outer edge of Pillow [noting Gusset seam will be at lower right corner of Pillow], changing to B where appropriate to match 'Roof' section of Front and Back. Fasten off. Sew Gusset seam.
With WS tog, beg with A and working through both thicknesses, join Front and Gusset tog with 1 rnd of sc, joining B where appropriate. Rep for Back, leaving an opening approx 4" wide. Stuff Pillow. Join opening closed. Fasten off.
