Ever wish you could take a quick vacation any day of the week? See how to print and stick your favorite vacation moments from Instagram and turn them into fun, functional magnets for your office or fridge with our easy tutorial. The perfect way to relive those vacay memories, and share them with your friends and family.

 

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

Photos of choice

Computer

Hard Cardstock

Scissors

Paper Trimmer

Magnet sheet (sticky)

Sharpie Permanent Marker

 

DIRECTIONS:

Individual Magnets:

Choose photos from Instagram you want to use for your magnets

Save photos to your desktop via screen grab or other saving method

Open photos in photo editing software like Photoshop, crop and resize each photo to 2x2in.

Collage all photos together in photo editing software or on a plain Word document for printing. Save at the highest resolution possible.

Print sheet of photos on stiff cardstock paper at home, or have them professionally printed. Don’t use shiny photo paper, stick with stiff matte paper.

Cut out each photo using a paper cutter or sharp scissors

Place each photo on the magnet sheet, leaving enough room to cut around. Make sure to fully press each photo down to the sticky part of the magnet sheet.

Cut out each magnet and make sure all 4 corners of the photo are fully pressed to the magnet.

Open photos in photo editing software like Photoshop, crop and resize the photo to 6x6”. Save photo at the highest resolution possible.

Print photo on stiff cardstock paper at home, or have it professionally printed. Don’t use shiny photo paper, stick with stiff matte paper.

Use a ruler to mark roughly 1 ⅛ in, both vertically and horizontally, on the edges of the photo

Use a paper cutter to cut the large photo into 12 individual magnet pieces that should measure about 1 ⅛ in

Adhere each of the 12 pieces to the magnet sheet, making sure to press each photo fully to the sticky side of the magnets and leave enough room to cut around each photo.

 Cut out the individual piece of the photo, trim the edges and push down each of the four corners of the photo to secure to the magnet.
