  • Lion Brand®:
    • Homespun®, Pueblo 2 skeins (A), Abalone 2 skeins (B), Vineyard 2 skeins (C) or colors of choice
    • Crochet hook size K-10.5 (6.5 mm)
    • Large-eyed blunt needle
  • Scissors
  • Tape measure

SIZE:

About 42” x 54” (107 x 137 cm)

GAUGE:

11 1/2 sts = about 4” (10 cm) over Ripple pattern.
BE SURE TO CHECK GAUGE.

COLOR SEQUENCE:
Work 6 rows with A, 2 rows with B, 4 rows with C, 2 rows with A, 4 rows with B, 6 rows with C, 4 rows with A, 6 rows with B, 2 rows with C, 6 rows with A, 2 rows with B, 4 rows with C, 2 rows with A, 6 rows with B, and 4 rows with C.

DIRECTIONS:

With A, ch 146.
Row 1: Work 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, *sc in each of next 7 ch, sk 1 ch, sc in each of next 7 ch, 3 sc in next ch; rep from * 8 times, sc in each of next 7 ch, sk 1 ch, sc in each of next 7 ch, 2 sc in last ch.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn, dc in first st, * dc in next 7 sc, sk 2 sc, dc in next 7 sc, 3 dc in next sc; rep from * 8 times, dc in next 7 sc, sk 2 sc, dc in next 7 sc, 2 dc in last sc.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first dc, * sc in next 7 dc, sk 2 dc, sc in next 7 dc, 3 sc in next dc; rep from * 8 times, sc in next 7 dc, sk 2 dc, sc in next 7 dc, 2 sc in top of beg ch-3.
Rows 4 and 5: With A, rep Rows 2 and 3.
Row 6: With A, rep Row 2.
Change to B.
Rows 7- 60: Continue as established to rep Rows 2 and 3, changing colors following Color Sequence, until entire Sequence has been worked.

* Afghan is worked in a ripple crochet pattern. The ripple pattern is easy to do, but several rows may need to be worked before the ripple pattern becomes clear.
* To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops to complete st. Fasten off old color.
