The McCall's pattern for child soft chair call's for cotton fabric's but I was making the chair for my 2 1/5 year old granddaughter which is not a good ideal for that age group. I used the vinyl it turned out great and my granddaughter love's it.

A+ for Car Upholstery

Used this vinyl to upholster the car seats for our 1963 Mercury. It is durable, smooth, was easy to stretch over the frame & looks great. Very easy to cut & sew using a ball-point needle on my regular sewing machine!

Perfect for the kids

We bought this vinyl when we bought our new coffee table a few years ago now to use as a table cover. A little velcro around the edges and it's a custom table cover that we can take of in seconds. It allows the kids to color and "be kids" on the table without destroying the beauty of the wood. It wipes clean very easily and is very sturdy...it's lasted 2 1/2 years with 2 kids and all their friends and still going strong (although our 3 yr old got ahold of a permanent marker...so we have some what we lovingly call "artwork" to decorate a corner of it!)
