Pnutzmom

I purchased this yarn, the tubor color, just as a challenge to me. I love to crochet and love the soft nubby feeling of it. It took me about six hours to crochet the scarf and it is wonderful! I have friends begging me to make them one...I am getting ready to do that now, but they have to pay for the yarn, etc...lol...really love this yarn! While it can and might be a little tedious if you do have to pull out mistakes and keeping up with stitch count, it really doesn't show if you leave it, in fact I just go on and it gives it more character...

Nice, but....

The Homespun yarn is nice and soft, and knits up quickly. BUT, beware of its shortcomings. Because of the nubby texture, it's nearly impossible to count how many rows you've knitted, so be sure to keep very accurate row counts as you go. Also, it's VERY difficult to rip out back to a certain point and get the stitches (and correct number of them) back on the needle, again because of the texture. So, while the colors and softness are nice, one must be extra careful in keeping row counts, and not making any mistakes!

super soft

it is suppose to be a "slubby" yarn..with highs and lows...it turns out very soft and warm in any project you make with it..I love it!

love the yarn overall.

I loved working with this yarn. It is expensive, but I've made 2 queen sized blankets with this and they are lovely. I was VERY disappointed with the fiesta yarn. It was not consistant in quality at all. I would find large thick places and then it would go down very thin. I am afraid that the blanket I've made will not hold up where there are thin places. I kep going as I did not expect it to be that way through the whole blanket, and when I got into it I'd had so much time and money in it, I didn't want to stop. The 6 or 7 other colors I used in both blankets was great. Would not recommend the Fiesta...

First time buyer of Homespun Yarn

This is the first time I purchased this yarn. I love it!! Becareful of the ends, I just knotted them to keep from fraying. I would not recommend for a beginnig crocheter. It is somewhat hard to see the stitches ecspecially the darker colors. I will be ordering more for a special baby afghan. A little pricey for all the crocheting I do but will use it for special projects!!!!!

Homespun

I just read some of the recent reviews of this yarn and I'm amazed at the issues some have had. Since Thanksgiving, I have made 2 afghans, 1 lapghan, several scarves and hat sets and I'm currently working on a third afghan. I have incorporated several different colors in my projects and have purchased my yarn through 2 different sources and I have yet to encounter skeins with yarn breaks, or issues with the yarns thickness. My only complaint is the fuzziness can sometimes be an issue and limits the stitches and patterns I am willing to use with it. I suggest trying out some of the "no beginning chain" crochet patterns for use with this yarn. A quick Google search for that term will give you access to patterns just made for yarn such
