Not for everyone

I bought this rotary when I first started quilting. I read many reviews about how wonderful it was and how excited people were at quilting fairs over it. So wanting the easiest tool for cutting my fabric I bought one. I've been using it off and on for about 4 years now and would get so frustrated with the way it would veer off to the right as another person mentioned. In a recent quilt class I forgot to bring it and used the teachers cutter. I was amazed at how much better the results were. So at the next class I brought mine in and asked her try mine and see if it was just me imagining things. The instructor tried mined and hated it. I used the the teachers rotary cutter for the rest of the class and will be buying one like hers asap.

Great Rotary Cutter!

I had one of these and lost it in a move - it is WONDERFUL! It is made specifically for lefties and works ergonomically so your hand does not tire so much. It would also be difficult to cut yourself with it because the control is so good!

Best Rotary Cutter Available

I have used the Ergo 2000 for several years. I find it easy to use and precise in cutting. I like the fact that I can sit and cut instead of standing. Recently I left my cutter out of my tools when I went to sew away from home. I found it diffictult to use other rotary cutters. I'm buying another so that one is always in my travel sewing kit.

I love it!

We discovered the Ergo 2000 rotary cutter at a Sewing and Quilt Expo in Atlanta 3 years ago. My two granddaughters, then 14 and 12, and I tried it out, watched the demo and each bought one. We've never looked back. The blades are of superior quality and last a long time. I've seen some complaints about it, but I would venture to guess that the complainer did not have a proper introduction to the product in order to use it comfortably. I recommended it to a friend with Parkinson's recently and she is using it with no problem.

Give it a Chance - You'll like it

When I tried this at AQS, I was sold. If you have used the other rotary cutters for years, it will take some time to get used to the different feel, but the Ergo is less "work" to use and I find myself choosing to pick up the Ergo first. The lint that collects is easily removed and should be done so on a regular basis for top performance. If you don't know how to remove the lint, have someone show you who has had a Co. rep show them. It is great! And, only use the Ergo blades for longer life of your cutter and blade.

try it, you just might like it

I've used it in teaching - especially good for new quilters. Easier to keep next to ruler. Only problem is I am left handed and most of the students are right-handed so they cannot really experiment with my cutter. Fortunately, my group has purchased a right-hand model so all can experiment.

A mind of its own

I found this rotary cutter hard to control - it wants to veer off to the right. You need to cut very carefully with it. True, it doesn't take as much pressure.

ERGO Review

I receive my ERGO Rotary Cutter as a gift and I love it! The blade stays sharp for a long time and I like the angle of the handle. I have used it for many of my sewing/quilting projects.
