Product Reviews:
In the past year, I've knit and crocheted around 15 wool pants and soakers to use as diaper covers. Only untreated wool works properly, and of all the wool yarns that I've tried, Patons classic wool is by far my favorite. Other brands that I've used have felt stiff or scratchy, but patons is always soft and workable, with no thin spots or broken bits. The garments made from this yarn hold up well even after dozens of washings, with only minimal felting. To top it off, patons comes in so many lovely colors that working with it is a complete pleasure. I could not be more satisfied.
back to productI'm making my own dryer balls and these have felted up beautifully. Such lovely colors, wish they had more of a selection in the store.
back to productBeautiful wool yarn. Works up beautiful and makes cable stitches stand out. Comes in many colors that are desirable. Only wish it would go on sale more often, if at all.
back to productSuch nice soft high quality wool yarn for such a good price. Love this yarn. Felts very nicely.
back to productJust love this yarn. I make many afghans and have used different brands of wool yarn. I do wash my afghans in a very gentle cycle in my washer. I use baby liquid soap. I believe it is called dreft. I also use softener. I flat dry it on my kitchen table. It comes out beautiful. The cables stay true to form and is soft against the skin.
back to productSaw one review that winter white did not felt. I have used winter white for a felted hat and it was beautiful, had no trouble felting with it. Have used many different colors, and found the yarn does not pull easily from the inside of the skein. I use it from the outside and/or wind it into a ball.
back to productI purchase Patons Classic Wool (Lemongrass) to make a scarf. About 10 rows from the beginning the wool ended. I had to reknow it to continue, then about 15 rows later I came to a knotted section in the wool. I make scarfs and hats for different organizations and for family and I get upset when the wool is like second hand. I also make hats for soldiers and get very dissappointed with wool like this. I have not had the problem with other brands. Sorry about this but I thought you should know. If the wool has a defect why can't you sell it cheaper so a person knows there is a defect. THank you................
