I do a lot of hand stitching. This magnifier is wonderful! I can see exactly where to stitch without sqinting or moving my work about to find the best light. This product not only magnifies, but also adds just right lighting. It makes my hobby so much more enjoyable. I highly recommend the Visual Mate - it is worth the cost!

Beware of meltdown!

I loved it & kept my light on the sofa until my hubby leaned against it, turning it on w/o knowing & left. Overheated; lens melted away in no time. Be CAREFUL!! Caught in time, but we're still freaked.

Don't leave home without this. Great for traveling and I love the way it stays steady unlike my floor lamp.

This is the absolutely BEST lighted magnifier I have ever owned. The circular light makes everything much easier to see while I am doing cross stitch.
