Product Reviews:
I purchased this flannel when they also had it in red and blue colors also. I made pj's for men in both long and short versions, in 3 colors. It did shrink some, so pre-wash before ironing and cutting. I'm a novice at sewing, but this material was easy to work with and I was quite satisfied with the end product, in all 3 colors.
back to productI have a large selection of your flannel and the tie dye is my favorite solid. I do wash all material before making anything just to prevent shrinkage after I make the item. It is also necessary since the first time washed there is a amount of lint that is collected on the lint trap. I use the material to make burp clothes and other baby items. I have an embroidery machine so I embroidery different things on the items. Make very nice gifts. That turn out very nice.
back to productI bought the khaki for a quilt back, getting plenty to allow for shrinkage. It washed and dried beautifully. I didn't measure to see how much it shrank, but it did some. I also bought the fuchsia for a bright receiving blanket. It did not fade or bleed with cold water wash and came out of the dryer beautifully.
back to productI use LOTS of these flannels to make raggedy quilts, baby bibs, baby blankets, etc. and I make a special trip to Grand Rapids for it when it is on sale. Flannel isn't meant to be pre-washed as I understand it. I love the many cute prints and the coordinating plainer ones in all colors to use with the prints!!!
back to productI bought this fabric before i saw the bad reviews. but when i washed the fabric it turned as perfect.
back to productWhen I washed the flannel before cutting, it shrunk terribly and ended up only 40 " wide (if excluding the non-usable selvedge) I was unable to fit my pattern pieces on the fabric next to each other so had to buy an extra 1 1/2 yards for the sleeves! I will never buy this fabric again. Low price, on sale but you get what you pay for!
back to productThe red in this fabric looked fabulous that is until I washed it. Pilling like crazy - looks old and is unusable for quilt backing. I'm going to cut it up for rags or make hankies out of it. I will never buy this again! So glad I only bought a yard.
back to productTHANKS, JoAnn! For your great flannel sale each Black Friday after Thanksgiving. Our small group of sewing ladies at church make receiving blankets for a charity hospital in Tanzania, East Africa. We try to ship at least 250 such blankets each year. Without your special Flannel prices we could not send near as many blankets. We also make many little diaper shirts from leftover scraps of cotton fabrics. From our land of plenty, comes a blanket and a diaper shirt for each woman has a newborn in the hospital. Bless you. Thanks again for your help.
