Product Reviews:
I have used this product for years. I love it! I have many appliqued quilts and sweatshirts using this product. It has held up through multiple washings. The fabric has not raveled at all, and it sticks well for me. Just ordered another roll. This is my third roll.
back to productIt did not stick to fabric without falling off so to cut the pieces out, I to tack it with an iron it with an iron. After ironing the pieces to the quilt, I discovered the bond is not permanent and I have had to re-iron several sections before I sew them down. Since I am stitching around all of the pieces anyway, it doesn't really matter but I do think that the edges will fray for anything that is going to be washed.
back to productSays price is 59.99, you put in your cart and it says there it's 119.99. Why specify one, and charge double that?
back to productI used Steam a Seam 2 for years and it worked great. Fast forward to today. When I ran out of the “older” stuff I bought a new package. No longer does it stay stuck while you're working on a piece. When I do my lettering I trace all the letters onto one side, peel off the backing and stick it to the material. Then I cut out the letters. With this new stuff as I'm cutting out the letters the adhesive falls OFF. Then I must stop and reposition it, and try again. Over and over I'm doing this. I don't know why they changed how they've made this, because no longer does it stay stuck while you're cutting out things. I complained to the company and was given a replacement, but this replacement is not working any better for me.
back to productI used this on a applique with bias tape. It worked like a wonder. Stuck right where I wanted it.
back to productI used lite steam-a-seam 2 to make a very complicated wall art quilt. While I liked being able to adhere and reposition pieces, I found that there was definately no permanent bond. This factor made my purchase disappointing. The message, "Don't believe everything you read."
back to productI'm into patchwork/applique quilting. My quilting teacher introduced this item to me. I enjoyed throughout my entire project. I have more projects to take up and looking forward to buy again.
