Product Reviews:
I just bought 12 yds at the store. I would never, ever use this fabric for anything but inside layer of a quilt. I might have to use two layers as it is so thin. You are wasting your time if you use it for a garment. Solid flannel is supposed to be heavier than the print flannel. This stuff looks nice on the bolt but terrible after one washing. I cannot imagine paying full price for this fabric. Even at a sale price, it is not a value.
back to productActually, I am beyond disappointed. This fabric if sold at all, should be price at 50 cents or below, that's about what it is worth. Mary (review January 28) states it perfectly. I made a nightgown and now I can't wear it because it looks so terrible. Waste not only of my money but my time.
back to productI should have paid more attention to the reviews that suggested this fabric was not good quality. I bought the white and light blue, and after washing the first time it was slightly stiff; after making it into a quilt and washing it again, it pilled badly and was stiff and unattractive. I looks old and worn, before it has been used even once. Some of the offerings here designate the fabric as "cozy flannel" and perhaps that quality is better, though when my fabric arrived, it was designated as "cozy flannel" even though it isn't on the website. I don't know if the other variety is better.
back to productI bought a TON of flannel at a really great price, made a precious baby quilt, and was horrified when I washed it to find the fabric had major pilling. So sad to spend all that time on a quilt, and not want to even give the quilt to someone, due to poor quality of the fabric. The white was particularly bad.
back to productI recently purchased almost 20 yards of this flannel. I was excited to make blankets so I did what the lady at the store said to do (wash and iron before using). The color faded after washing on a light setting a bit, but I accepted it. I didn't have much pilling at all. Then when I ironed it on the lowest setting the fabric turned from magenta to light pink with just a few seconds of light ironing. I DO NOT recommend this product
back to productI bought red flannel for a quilt and liked this pretty, red fuzzy flannel. I washed it before sewing it to make it stop bleeding. It took EIGHT washes with double-rinses and tumble-dries to get it to stop staining and shedding. By then, it was thin and stiff. All the thick, fuzziness was gone. Sad. Now I have to find something else to use.
back to productI was so pleased with the quality and colors of my flannel. From reading the reviewa of some, I was kinda scared of what the flannel would be like. I was so pleased and the white was snowy white unlike what was said on the review of the bolt of white. I will not be afraid to order again. Thanks so much. Also the kindness of the sales ladies.
back to productThis is the worst flannel I have ever seen. And the store never has a good supply of colors. Wht frustrated me the most was they never have the same shade of a color each time new bolts come in. I got several product made to the point of putting the flannel solid on the back of them and ran out of this rich brown so had to wait and wait and wait for it to come back in, about 3 months later it did and it was not the same rich brown, it was at least two shades off. Yesteray I went to Joann's as they told me the lime green solid flannel came in. I took my swatch with me to make sure it was the SAME lime green before I bought several yards then find I can't use it when I get it home. You guessed it, the two lime greens did not match.
