waste of money
My sister purchased it for my 9 yr old neice for Xmas since I knit and crochet all the time. We have tried to make a simple hat and the machine kept on not picking up the yarn and making holes. I tried many times to get it working for her and with no luck. There is no way that I am going to keep it. Very disappointed. :(

Garbage/ doesn't work
My daughter is in TEARS! she sees me knitting and crocheting hats all the time and wanted to make her own scarf. We can't even get this to work with nicer yarn for more than 3 turns before it drops stitches and creates a hole. There is no real way of going back and fixing those dropped stitches, either.

WORST PRODUCT
MADE THE MISTAKE OF NOT CHECKING REVIEWS. i AGREE. WE HAVE TRIED SINCE CHRISTMAS TO MAKE THIS MACHINE WORK AND FINALLY DECIDED IT WAS NEVER GOING TO WORK. YARN GETS TANGLES , LOOPS FALL OFF, THREADING KEEPS CHANGING AND CAUSES THE HANDLE TO HALT.

Worst thing ever!!
I had one as a child so was so excited to give this to my daughter as she wants to make blankets. WORSE THING EVER!! we have spent so much time on trying to get it to work Wish I would have spent a fraction of that time actually reviewing it before we drove 100 miles to get one!!!

Horrible....a piece of junk
Garbage! I had one as a child and loved it. Saw that they redesigned it and was hopeful it would be greatly improved. I wish I had the one I remember, at least I made a scarf! WASTE of time and WASTE of money!

DO NOT BUY
I purchased this because I need to make several scarves, forget all the hats and stuff the directions say it can make, just a plain tube. The hooks miss the loops at haphazard intervals. It is a complete piece of junk, waste of yarn and time. DO NOT BUY IT>

so disappointing...
My 7yr old received this as a gift for Christmas, and we just just got around to trying it. Her mom thought it would be great since I am an avid crocheter. So we set it up today to give it a go, attempted a baby hat. Horrible. Let's begin with the yarn- eyelash yarn is terrible to learn anything with. The machine made stitches too loose, and the beginning rows unravelled (sp?) immediately. I even tried a sport-weight baby yarn, and it skipped stitches all over the place. A complete waste of money, and I have a very disappointed girl who wanted nothing but to make things like mommy... I expected so much more from the Singer name.

WORST MACHINE EVER!!!!!!!
I thought that since I was a beginner, that I would like this because it had a very easy handle. But it turned out that even someone who couldn't move their hand was a better knitter than this machine. I suggest that you DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!
