I just tried to order this product while it was on sale and it gave me an error saying it was out of stock. Nothing on the page for this product says it's out of stock. So much for getting the sale price. :(

Jumbo Roll
I crochet for profit, for some reason the jumbo roll is stiff and my projects come out larger. Difficult to crochet fast, due to the stiffness. I will have to go back to the smaller rolls. In my opinion, it should be of same quality as the smaller rolls,,, BUT IS NOT.

JUMBO
WE ORDERED 9 BIG ROLLS AND ARE WORKING ON 6TH BALL. SO FAR ALL BUT 2 BALL ARE STIFF. THE ONES TARE STIFF DO NOT WORK AS WELL, BUT USABLE.THE SOFT ONES ARE EXCELLENT. WE DO HAVE TANGLES COMING OFF THE ROLL AT FIRST, BUT THAT CAN BE CORRECTED WITH A SMALL CROCHET NEEDLE. I LIKE THE JUMBO ROLL AND WILL ORDER AGAIN. PLEASE CHECK TO SEE WHY SOME ARE STIFF AND OTHERS SOFE. THANKS PL

I frequently crochet table clothes for wedding/anniversary gifts and perfer to use the large balls of cotton. I don't have to splice the tread as often as I do when using the smaller balls. The only problems I have experienced with this cotton is when I first start a ball the cotton comes off knotted. Please do not stop carrying this product.

I'm doing a 6' wide table cloth and it will take two big balls, and I found the easiest way to get it to unwind as your working is to set it on a table right next to where you're working. I wanted it to finish what I had started with a smaller ball and the color matched perfectly. I do recomend ti for large projects.

I do a lot of crocheting for holiday bazaars and don't need to change balls so often with this jumbo ball, even though it doesn't release at first as easily because of the size and weight of ball. Last jumbo ball is stiff, does not slide on needle or onto itself thus crocheting is very difficult and the loops are large, even using a smaller needle (size 8). Using size 7 as usual is very loopy and loose in addition to stiffness. This is unacceptable and I will be sending a letter to Clarks and Coats about the poor quality. This particular ball is unusable and since I have thrown away the outside wrapping, I can't return for refund.

Finally enough thread!
I love to crochet lace, but I got tired of buying a little skein of thread every time we were at the store. So, I bought one of the Jumbo rolls of crochet thread from Joann's and decided to see just how long it would last. I made three large doilies and about twenty smaller ones all from the same roll! The thread was smooth and it blocked beautifully. I would definately recommend this product!
