Blanket Possibility :)
I love this large long loom I use it to make blankets. In order to make a blanket use the entire loom but leave one (1) of the pegs blank on one of the sides. You can then go back and forth and get a good size lap blanket and if you then connect two half you will have an approximately 40 inch blanket. Make sure to use all of the pegs except for the one to have the large blanket size.

Love this thing!
I knitted a sweater with this, and it goes so much faster than the traditional way. Thank God! Would like an even bigger one.

A KNIT WHIZ W KNIFTY
Made scraves, sweater, shrugs. Grove is a tremendous aid. If need bigger gauge I just skip and wrap every other peg. Wish they would come out with at least 70 pegs and/or 80.

You can actually use it like a conventional round loom with a light yarn-like ribbon or ladder back - the opening is large enough for the yarn to fall through as in in the prayer shawl loom which is much pricier...
