Great for Ribbon Storage/Card Making/Scrapbooking
Hi I use these to store 1 yd of ribbon. I can write the manufacturer on the side and keep about 90 of these in one plastic storage container. Great for taking to a crop. I have well over 1000 varieties of ribbon and I store all my small width ribbon on these cards.

Great for the dabbler or the beginner
This is a great organizer for someone who's doing a little embroidery. I do embellishments to quilts, so I want a small (dozen) usual colors around for small extra detailing on the blocks. This works great for me: I don't use a lot at one sitting, and I can have my floss in a compact container. The loose end sometimes starts to unwind a bit, but overall it keeps the floss pretty neat. However, if I was seriously into hand embroidery, I would find the extra step of rewinding each skein onto the bobbin to be a pain.

Organization-on-the-Go
I use these floss bobbins and the accompanying binder ring when carrying counted cross stitch or stamped embroidery projects while commuting to and from work. The binder ring keeps the floss from getting loss and allows for quick access. The floss bobbins are sturdy and can be used again and again.
