Good Job
I bought this yarn winder when it was on sale and with a 50% off coupon. Very good value. It does seem to have a problem with a few types of yarn wanting to wrap in front of or behind the ball which means having to unwind and try again, but I did 20 yarn skeins in one night and really only had problems with two of the skeins which were a more slick yarn. For the price this does a fine job. I would prefer a better means of attaching to a table, the clamp is short so I can only use it when attached to the cutting board but can life with it for now.

Really like this ball-winder better than the others- like the side-to-side winding- have not had the problems with tangling/sliding off when winding as the others. Just wish it was sold in-store as well as on-line

Don't bother!
I order 11/27. I am glad that I bought this when it was on sale, and even at that it was not worth the box it was shipped in. I have to wind each ball of yarn 3 or more time to get it look right without any knots or snags. If you have more than 2.5 oz of yarn its even worse. The yarn doesn't stay on spool at all times and jumps in front or behind the ball.

I boought this winder after Christmas and I'm glad I bought it! It's easy to use, clamps on any table edge and simple threading andyou're ready to start to winding. Makes a nice size ball and easy to take off the stem. Only thing I would change.The winder and the clamp are separate. The winder sits on top of a stem that stands up from the back of the clamp. If you wind too fast, it may come off. But, once I realized that, I just didn't get crazy when winding.I would recommend to a friend.
