Product Reviews:
While it is soft and the colors are wonderful, it keeps breaking! I've been super careful and, within using 1/4 of the skein, it's broken 5 or 6 times. I barely touch it and it breaks! So frustrating!!!!!
back to productI bought this yarn because I loved the colors. I too had the same problems as other reviewers - yarn breakage, inconsistent thickness - very bulky to really narrow and knots in the yarn. I knit a shawl and I noticed after every time I picked it up to knit I was coughing and wheezing. If I knit in the evening I would cough for a couple of hours after going to bed. It has to be the yarn. I probably cannot wear the shawl I made. I would not buy this yarn again.
back to productI've been looking for a non-wool Noro Kureyon sub for a long time, and this yarn works great. The yarn is soft, it's made like an imitation roving with thick and thinner changing strands and the colors are vibrant and it knits up soft. I used two skeins in a sweater project recently, and there was a knot in the first skein, which was problematic, because it caused a break in the color pattern.
back to productI love the yarn......made a scarf and matching hat and had no problems with the yarn. Like that it is very soft asI can't wear 100% wool. Plan on buying more.
back to productI really like this yarn...I have knit cables tightly with it and although it is easy to rip, it has not while knitting...I have found no knots in it.... I love this yarn! I like the feel of it and the colors....will buy again.
back to productI love this yarn and keep coming back for more. I use it to make crocheted hats with brim, and the changing colors are fun and appealing. I LIKE the texture of the yarn for hats. It is really quite lovely, overall. It is soft, no fuzzy stuff, and reminds me of the more pricey hand-dyed yarn that I have used in the past.
back to productI have knit several scarves in different colorways, and agree that there are more knots than I have seen in other yarn. I also had the "smell" issue w/ a couple of skeins, but it resolved w/ washing. I like the yarn, love the colors, but would probably not buy it if it wasn't on sale.
back to productI love the look and feel of this yarn. I have not had problems with breakage as others here have mentioned--I am knitting with it and I am not using a tight gauge, and this may make a difference. My one problem with the yarn is that it smells terrible! I am halfway through a sweater for my daughter and I am hoping that the smell will come out during blocking or washing. I didn't smell the yarn at the store (I should have!) The smell is a musty one, almost a body-odor type of smell. Since I have not read any other complaints about the smell I wonder if I didn't just get a bad batch or maybe a batch that was shipped near something stinky. The colors are fabulous, very much like Noro, and great for kids.
