Product Reviews:
The colors are very nice, but yes it could be softer. I too was very disappointed that colors have been discontinued, The Light Blue was very nice! But Red Heart also discontinued Hokey Pokey yarn, which were wonderful colors AND it was soft. If you need some discontinued colors, you'll have to search online...I have had some success on ebay.
back to productWondering why the white with pastels is gone. I've found this a great yarn for both beginning and advanced knitting projects. The lack of previous color choice makes me sad, causing me to purchase from other manufacturers instead.
back to productI love this yarn for baby stuff, but I have to think that Red Heart is Crazy to have discontinue the pink version of this great yarn!! I was almost finished with the cutest baby afghan over a year ago and now I still can't find any more pink to complete it- No one wants to part with their leftovers!! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, RED HEART?????
back to productPrice hike made me stop buying this yarn. There are too many "designer" yarns and I choose not to pay the extra price. I found that I will buy "I love this yarn" before I will pay the extra for this one.......... Take the price back down and you will see sales go up!
back to productWhy have they quit making the beautiful orchid and purple fiest colors. They are my most favorite/
back to productI am finishing an afghan with this yarn and I starting to be bothered by the smell. It is off-gassing something, perhaps from the nylon. I will wash it after finishing it in hopes the fumes go away. I like the colors.
back to productI tried this yarn because I liked the look of it. It has great coordinating threads running through it no matter what color you choose. I have made 6 full sized afghans with it and have been greatly impressed each time with how well it works up. I will agree with another reviewer who said it is scratchy, however after you finish and then wash it, it is incredibly soft and beautiful. I love this yarn and am very excited to see the new colors. It is a bit pricey, but if you watch for sales it is affordable.
back to productit's not soft but beautiful and i'm using three strands and making a rug. i'm on my third rug and i've found the red heart yarn is stronger than other's for such. it doesn't fuzz up and is strong to walk on. luv it.
