`the best hook ever!
I have been crocheting over 50 years and this is the best hook I have used since I used my mothes hooks from England that were mde from Ivory. These are the closest to the shape and never get causht in the yarn. I used the Boyle hook and just got frustrated with them but couldn't find the right one until I found the Susan Bates and have used them ever since.

I can use with my eyes closed!
I found a pattern I can do without looking - great for watching TV. I misplaced my S.B. hook and had to fetch another one - an old Boye. After a bit of stitching I gave up. It was too frustrating! It kept getting caught in my stitches when pulling through. I knew S.B. hooks seemed to be smoother than Boye's, but I didn't realize how important the shape of the hook was. I soon found my S.B hook - inside my huge skein of yarn. Whew!

Absolutely the Best!
I started with the basic set, these hooks are so nice that I ended up ordering every size for future projects. I began as a beginner and because they were so great to work with, I quickly progressed to difficult projects. These hooks make crocheting easy. I can't rave enough on how nice they are to work with.

Susan Bates hooks are the absolute best! But these, are without question the best of the best. I've actually snapped some of my smaller plastic hooks, the first time was a shocker but it was really my fault, these little wonders take out much of the human error in crochet and make the rest easy.

Cadillac ... I think not! :o)
These are the BEST crochet needles I have ever used! They're not the Cadillac of crochet needles, they're the Rolls Royce!!!! A friend of mine got me started on them, and I've actually given away all of my Boye needles because they split the yarn and are actually hard for me to work with now. I recommend these hooks to every one of my friends who crochets.

Cadillac of hooks
For a long time I used Boye hooks and constantly split the finer yarns or grabbed stitches I didn't intend to grab. THEN I discovered Susan Bates crochet hooks; it's been smooth crocheting ever since. These hooks are marvelous -even with fingering yarns!! I HIGHLY recommend these crochet hooks, especially the Silvalumes. Susan Bates is definitely the Cadillac of crochet hooks.

ALWAYS THE BEST and still is
Susan Bates hooks and needles are by far the very best there is. Not always easy to find but worth the trip. Walmart does not carry Susan Bates which is very disappointing. but I stay loyal to Susan Bates and will go out of my way to get them. Don't believe any of the negative feedback from anyone. SUSAN BATES IS THE BEST AND ALWAYS WILL BE.

No Longer big selection in stores
I went to my local Joann's and they no longer carry a large section of Susan Bates. I went to add 3.25,3.50,3.75 sizes to my full kits that I have. I am new to Crocheting and really needed to get my supplies. Hope Joann's brings back more Susan Bates Love it and won't use the other brands.
