I had the same problem- I want a 3" punch, it was advertised as a 3" punch, and it is not 3"! Therefore worthless to me! I like other fiskars products I've used.

Not what I expected
I ordered a 3 inch punch so I expected a punch that did a 3" circle. It cuts a 2.8 circle instead. I bought this for making my daughters birthday decor. I barely even got it in time and now it doesnt do what it says. I cant use it for her decorations because it cuts the entire outer edge off and ruins them. :( Love Joanns but my days of shopping there maybe coming to an end. Really aggravated right now.

ok - if you don't need a 3" circle
This punch doesn't cut a 3" circle. Strange, since that is what it's called and described as. It's actually 2.8" - stated in small letters on the back of the package. Since I ordered online, I didn't know that. Other than being too small, mine has worked fine.

Save your time
The first punch I ordered cut only half a circle. The replacement cuts only a 2 3/4" circle. It mangles notebook paper without punching a complete shape although it does punch stiffer papers if you use enough force. The paper slot is blocked by the edge of the lower metal cutting surface so the paper cannot be inserted into the punch smoothly without manual adjustment. Out of the box, the bottom was scuffed. It makes a nice paperweight, but if you want an actual punch, try a different brand.
