great set
I got mine at my local JoAnn’s with a coupon, and it is a great value. It has no odor, strong magnets, and is useful not only for making straight cuts with the magnet backed ruler, but as a work mat for laying out card designs. The peg magnets, when standing on end, are very strong and can hold down several layers of cardstock. I like being able to work with the mat on a table or in my lap then set it up on its side to see how things look. The ruler is also useful for holding card layers squarely in place while I use my tape runner. Overall it is a very useful set, and I recommend buying extra magnets.

I have had other matts and this one beats them all! I didn't realize how much I would appreciate the magnets & and magnetic ruler. What great times savers to not have to reposition constantly. Magnets are strong. I suggest buying extra magnets as you will need them! Ruler has holes for piercing & doodling andruler is good edger for cutting with craft knife. This matt is #1.

Great Mat
I use this mat as a base for all my paper crafting. Works wwonderfully. Unlike older models of the same mat, there are measurements and angles on both sides. Magnes stick perfectly to it. Also as a side note, it nicely fits the Ranger Inkssentials Mat so if I start to stamp, I place the inkssentials mat down and put the magnetic posts down and it holds it nice and flat. I didn't have a strong odor from my mat and within just one day of letting it air out in a spare room it has none now. Love the angles on this and most serious papercrafters swear bly a cutting mat and this one is amazing with it being magnetic and extremely strong and durable. I kept the plastic shell it came in to keep it clean when going to crops.

Its really just a mat
I bough this so excited for the magnetic parts. I bought the matching cutter that went with it...I hate the cutter and the magnetic part isn't strong at all.. I really only use this as a mat to protect my desk...Really all its good for.

I love this mat
Terry above states that it has an odor. My mat does not have an odor. It is roomy enough to protect your table, the color is perfect because you can see all bits of paper on it. The measuring guide is so helpful.

My favorite mat
I've owned this mat for over a year now, and I absolutely adore it. I love it so much, I bought the travel size to take with me to crops. The grid markings on the surface are useful, and the magnetic ruler and posts are handy! The size is perfect, too -- very roomy. I highly recommend this mat set. Buy it; you won't regret it.

Great to take to crops!
This mat is perfect for lining up work, especially for cards but big enough to use with 12x12 pages, too. I take it to crops so I always have the same surface to work on. I also wanted to note that it is easy to clean.

Love it!
I got this mat a few months ago and I love it! I love that it's oversized and the grid on it. The four magnetic posts and the magnetic ruler are fabulous and use them all the time to line things up.
