So disappointed.

I have been sewing for 50 years. Only owned 4 machines, three of them Singer. I bought the Curvy 8780 in April. The auto threader only worked once, and it was one of the main reasons I bought this machine. I have also had issues with the bobbin.....so much so, that it is now inoperable. It will not accept the needle without bending it. I have emailed Singer, but to no avail. I will be pushing for a refund.

Love this machine

I have had this machine over a year, bought it on QVC with lots of extra attachments. There are online instructions on Singer website for using these, which I recommend. Otherwise, the instructions are a bit sketchy if you are new to sewing, but not limited to this model/manufacturer. I have not had a problem with this machine at all and have used it many times. So far, I would recommend it.

My Curvy

Stay away...far away from this product! It never worked for me.....and Singer support is terrible! It took me 5 hours (no lie) to reach somebody to help me....who could not help. I had to send the machine back to the manufacturer!

My Curvy 8770

My Curvy has not worked since day 1. I was excited to use it on my newest project and I could not even get it to sew. I followed the directions and the DVR. The LCD screen would not work, thus disabling the machine. It took me 5 hours on hold (no lie) to finally get somebody from Singer to speak with me. Not to mention the time I spent trying to trouble-shot on my own! Singer's support is terrible! Finally, I had to send my product back to the manufacturer. Needless to say I am disgusted.

My Curvy

I have problems with something catching in the bobbin and the tension. It's louder than when I bought it and the threader doesn't work for the most part. I clean it and oil it as recommended. I also cannot get the button holer to work. I sew a lot and am somewhat disappointed with it. Am thinkiing of buying a new machine.

mixed feelings

I purchased this machine when it was on sale back in January. I love the automatic threading and some of the other features. But I have had continual problems with the tension and something catching down in the bobbin compartment. Of course it never does it when I take it in to have them look at it. It is noisier than when I first got it. The zipper foot was designed by someone who had never put a zipper in. It has caused me endless frustration and I wish I had not bought it. And I think the salespeople think I am making it all up. They say the machine may be picky about brand of thread, type of material, etc. ::::

WOW

I read Marys review, 8-25-10 she said her's surged I guess I haven't spent enough time with mine yet . If it does surge then This machine is deffinetly a drean come true All I know is that I had'nt bought a singer in 20 yr's this year my Grandbaby said you deserve something nice too.And what a differents 20 yrs can make. Thats all I use or singers . And yes I have tried other types ,there or no comparison when it comes to a singer. My thoughts of course..
