Product Reviews:
No problems with this machine and I've had it for a year now. I've been sewing since I was younger and if you don't need any fancy settings it works perfect. Those that keep saying the bobbin gets all tangled probably need to adjust a setting.
back to productI am returning my machine tonight, only had it fora few weeks but can't sew anything for more than a few minutes and it gets all bound up, if your just starting out don't buy this one spend a little more money and get one that has easier bobbing thredding.
back to productI am very disappointed in this machine. I will never buy another Singer, ever. The bobbin constantly get tangled and makes a huge mess on what ever I am sewing. I cannot handle anything remotely heavy. Huge mistake buying this.
back to productI can barely sew a button and wanted to try my hand at sewing. Bought this one for the cost. Had it for a few weeks, and have been practicing making window valances with it. So far, so good.
back to productMy mom gave me this machine for Christmas. It took a really long time to get the tension on the machine and bobbin correct. Then it sewed backwards for no reason, on multiple occasions. Most recently, I've been trying to use the automatic buttonhole setting, and to no avail. I just get a mound of thread. Although a simple machine for a beginner, it is too frustrating and not reliable.
back to productMy mom bought this machine as a gift for my 10 year old daugher. We watched the video and read the directions to thread the bobbin and the machine. When we tried to sew, the tension was a mess and it would not sew without knotting up the thread. Tried to return it to Joann's fabric, but they would not return without a receipt. Please don't buy this machine it is outdated and poorly made!
back to productI'm glad I'm not the only one. I think I got the buttonholer to work ONCE on scrap material. All other times, it's just a big glop of thread in one place. Other than that I am loving the light weight machine. My original singer is from the 70's and very heavy. For th $99 price, it is a good machine.
back to productI am 40 years old and never sewed in my life,, I bought this for my 9 year old daughter and we are having a blast with it. My husband and I sat down and watched the DVD and in no time we were all sewing. Since this is our first sewing machine I don't have anything to compare it to, BUT, I can say it is easy to use,, the auto needle threader works great and we have been sewing all kinds of things. So glad I purchased this product.
