patience = gorgeous results
I am a beginning knitter, and loved the look and price of this product. Several comments about quality made me only buy one skein, but I had also read a tip to wrap this kind of specialty yarn around the middle of a roll of paper towels for ease of working with it. While the skein I purchased was tangled (not so uncommon), patience in untangling and wrapping around the paper towel core revealed no actual knots in the ribbon. Since then, it has been a pleasure to work with. It's nice to have a simple, easy project where I don't need to worry so much about evenness. Such a beautiful scarf as the end result, which I acheived in only a couple of days. Highly recommend as it is a purchase that encourages me to knit more!

Beautiful product
I have knitted two scarves from the ribbon yarn and they are exquisite. Be sure not drop any stitiches as it will leave holes in the finished product. My second attempt was much better than the first. You have to play with it a little to determine how many stitches to cast on, whether or not to skip spaces to make a fuller ruffle, etc. This takes longer than other types of ruffled scarves, but the result is stunning.

Red Heart needs a reboot
Why cannot Red Heart produce quality products anymore? They assure me via email they have quality controls but I sure don't see it. Come on ladies......write them and complain! When you pay this much for this small amount of yarn, the least you can expect is to have a ball without knots! Shame on you Coats & Clarks (owners of Red Heart!

Red Heart Boutique Ribbons Yarn
I have been very pleased with the results of knitting the ribbon yarn. However, out of the last 10 skeins that I have purchased there were more than 2 knots. One is ok as that gives you the 2 ends, but the second and third make it difficult to have a nice finished product. Overlapping is not good enough for me to give to friends as they expect excellent work. I have had to make many short ones and have put snaps on the ends to make a collar scarf.

First return to Joann
Loved the Sashay for scarves so thought I would try the ribbon yarn. I took the label off to read the directions and saw 2 large knots plus many loose strands. Rather than frustrate myself trying to straighten out the mess I put the label back on and am shipping all 3 back. Very poor quality! Won't buy again.

I am tired of trying to order these yarns and you are ALWAYS out of stock. I could not find a single color available. I tried the ribbon, the sashay and starbella. Of all these colors, I could not find one available color!

Quick & Easy
I have made over 100 since September, both ruffle and ribbon. Some were gifts the rest I "sold" with the proceeds going to charity-over $1,700 and still knitting! Don't like the knots but when you knit the pieces together it is invisible where the scarf was spliced. Would love more color options for my repeat customers.
